About the Author

Brenda S. Bence is Founder and President of BDA (Brand Development Associates) Int’l Ltd, a firm that specializes in helping companies and individual clients around the world build successful, growth-oriented corporate and personal brands. As an international speaker, trainer, coach, and consultant, she has worked with hundreds of executives, managers, and entrepreneurs around the world to help them define and communicate their corporate and personal brands. Brenda spends more than 50% of the year traveling to present her unique approach to branding at conferences, conventions, and corporations all across the globe.

Brenda earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and began her career as a marketer at Procter & Gamble, first at P&G’s world headquarters in the U.S., then with P&G in Europe and in Asia. Subsequently, Brenda held the position of Vice President International Marketing for Bristol-Myers Squibb’s consumer division, Mead Johnson, where she was responsible for multiple brands across almost 50 countries.

During her 25-year career, Brenda has helped manage dozens of well-known brands, including Pantene, Vidal Sassoon Shampoo & Styling products, Head & Shoulders, Enfamil, Choc-o-Milk, and Ariel and Cheer Laundry Detergents, just to name a few.

Brenda has an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and French from Nebraska Wesleyan University. She splits her time between homes in Thailand and the U.S. and sits on a number of boards of public and private companies and not-for-profit organizations. Brenda is a member of the National Speakers Association (NSA), the Global Speakers Federation (GSF), and Asia Professional Speakers (APS). Brenda is a Certified Coach with Results™ Coaching Systems and has earned the Associate Certified Coach credential from the International Coach Federation.
